DIRA is a technology organisation based in Bamenda, Northwest Region of Cameroon, operating through two complementary entities with a clear separation of concerns.
DIRA Foundation is the non-profit and ecosystem development arm. It is legally registered and headquartered at the AWICCUL Building, Commercial Avenue, Bamenda. Its mandate is ecosystem building: creating structured environments in which talent can develop digital skills, launch high-growth companies, and build sustainable careers in the technology sector.
DIRA SAS is the technology company. Its mandate is product development: engineering modern digital tools that solve concrete challenges faced by businesses and communities. It is a technology enterprise that builds market-ready products, organises high-impact events, and operates an innovation and startup incubator for the Northwest Region.
Every programme DIRA delivers is designed to produce tangible, measurable output. DIRA SAS serves as the technology and implementation partner of the Foundation, powering the ecosystem with industry expertise, engineering capacity, and business infrastructure.
The 2026 edition of DIRA Tech Fest was DIRA's public debut, establishing the organisation as a premier, capable leader in the Northwest Region's emerging digital economy.

DIRA Tech Fest 2026 was conceived, planned, and executed by DIRA in Bamenda as a landmark initiative to catalyse the Northwest Region's technology ecosystem. The festival established a premier regional platform, bringing together public administration, corporate leaders, startups, and tech talent.
Driven by a clear vision for digital transformation, the leadership team orchestrated an intensive multi-track event that combined rigorous technical training, collaborative product development, executive panels, and a broad commercial exhibition.

DIRA Tech Fest 2026 delivered outcomes that exceeded projections across every measurable dimension: 1,000+ participants, 108 trainees, 10 startup products, a 6-person government Tech Summit, 45 businesses supported, and the public launch of DHUB, the first digital housing marketplace built and deployed by a Bamenda-based technology company for the Northwest Region.
With this benchmark established, DIRA Tech Fest 2027 is being developed at an expanded scale, featuring institutional partnerships, a substantially larger training programme, and a dedicated startup investment track for high-potential ventures.
Introducing DHUB.
The first digital product built and deployed by a Bamenda-based technology company for the Northwest Region market.
DHUB: Bamenda's Housing Marketplace
DHUB is a mobile housing marketplace that connects tenants directly with verified landlords in Bamenda, eliminating fraudulent agency practices, weeks-long search processes, and lack of price transparency in the rental market.
DHUB was officially launched at DIRA Tech Fest 2026 before a live audience of over 750 people at Cathedral Hall. The live demonstration generated sustained audience engagement and drew immediate follow-up interest from investors, landlords, and community members present in the hall.

DIRA Tech Fest 2026 demonstrated that the Northwest Region has immense demand for high-caliber technology events, that institutional leaders and industry partners will actively participate, and that regional talent can build viable digital products in 48 hours under structured conditions.
DIRA Tech Fest 2027: Scale Begins
The second edition targets anchor institutional partnerships, a substantially expanded training programme, and a dedicated startup investment track for high-potential ventures from previous cohorts.
Permanent Infrastructure Established
A permanent DIRA Tech Hub established in Bamenda as the year-round operational base for digital skills training, startup incubation, and ecosystem development, anchored by a Bamenda Tech Startup Coalition membership of 1,000+.
Regional Expansion
Regional chapters across multiple cities, national broadcast and press coverage, and year-round digital skills programmes operating continuously outside the annual festival.
Continental Recognition
100,000 total participants. Recognition as a nationally and continentally significant annual innovation event, one of the defining technology gatherings on the African continent.
